ECG Lab

Single-lead waveform, intervals and rhythm — with the wrist pulse alongside

ECG source

Galaxy Watch 7 ECG is recorded by Samsung Health Monitor, which keeps the waveform behind Samsung’s privileged SDK — no browser can read it over generic Bluetooth. These three routes are the honest ones.

Native relay

Live waveform over the LAN socket when the companion app forwards the ecg channel.

Import export

Samsung Health Monitor → your ECG → Share → save the CSV, then drop it here. JSON and plain sample lists work too.

Digital twin

McSharry dynamical model — rehearse the read-out and verify the analysis chain. Always labelled synthetic.

No strip loaded. Capture from the relay, import a Samsung Health Monitor export, or run a twin scenario to see the full read-out.

Saved strips

How this reads a strip

  1. 1 · Conditioning removes baseline wander (0.5 Hz high-pass), notches whichever mains frequency is actually present, and limits to 40 Hz — monitoring-grade bandwidth per AHA/ACCF/HRS Part I (2007).
  2. 2 · Beats come from the Pan–Tompkins detector (IEEE TBME 1985): integrated envelope, dual adaptive thresholds, 200 ms refractory period and searchback for missed beats.
  3. 3 · Intervals are measured on an ensemble median beat with ectopics excluded, T-wave end by the tangent method (Zhang, Physiol Meas 2006) — never from one complex.
  4. 4 · Rhythm uses RR irregularity, pNN50, sample entropy and P-wave presence (Dash 2009, Sarkar 2008), gated by signal quality and a 30 s minimum. Anything short of the AF pattern is reported as irregular-unclassified rather than guessed.
  5. 5 · This is a screening instrument on a single lead. It cannot detect heart attack, and it is not a diagnosis. If you feel unwell, seek care regardless of what it says.
